Ray Lane

Ray Lane is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various industries. Currently serving as Managing Partner at GreatPoint Ventures since March 2015 and as a Board Trustee at Carnegie Mellon University since June 1996, Ray Lane also holds a position on the Board of Directors at Hewlett Packard Enterprise since November 2010. Previously, Ray Lane was a Managing Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers and served as President and COO of Oracle. Additional experience includes being a Senior Managing Partner at Booz Allen and Hamilton and a Vice President at Electronic Data Systems. Ray Lane’s career began at IBM as a Senior Product Manager. Ray Lane holds both an Honorary Doctor of Science from West Virginia University and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Golden Gate University, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from West Virginia University.
