Mike McDonald has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Mike started their career as a Software Engineer at Potomac Systems Engineering, where they worked on developing ASPUR, an Army command and control system. Mike then moved on to Automation Processes Associates, where they developed a connectivity product for NAS IBM plug compatible mainframe.
Later, McDonald joined Computer Sciences Corporation as a Software Engineer, where they led the development of the Data Reduction and Analysis component of the FAA Advanced Automation System. Mike also worked as a Software Engineer at COMSYS Technical Services, where they developed the user interface for MCI's Network Management System.
In 1991, McDonald worked as an Independent Software Engineer, developing software for START Inc., a financial services company. Mike also worked at TREEV, Inc. as a Product Architect, where they played a key role in the design and implementation of various products in the TREEV suite.
McDonald's next position was at Xi Software, where they worked as a Product Architect. Following that, they joined Dell Software as a Senior Product Architect, playing a significant role in the development of vWorkspace, a desktop virtualization product.
Most recently, they worked at HYPR | The Passwordless Company as a Senior Developer Technical Lead. Throughout their career, McDonald has demonstrated expertise in software development, product architecture, and strategic planning.
Mike McDonald has a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Murray State University, which they obtained from 1978 to 1982. Mike then pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University, completing it from 1989 to 1992.
