Veqar Islam has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2011, they worked at Comptel Corporation as a Senior Vice President and Member of the Executive Board until 2013. In 2012, they joined TouchPoint (Pvt) Limited as President. In 2014, they became the Director and Chief Executive of Jaffer Business Systems (JBS). In 2017, they founded Hysab Kytab: Budgeting, Expense & Savings Tracker and also became a Director at Blutech Consulting (A Company of Jaffer Brothers). In 2018, they took on multiple roles, serving as a Director at Foree and SECP (Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan). Veqar was also a Member of the PM Task force on IT & Telecom. In 2021, they joined ENA Pakistan as a Director and in 2022, they became a Director at Catalect.
Veqar Islam completed their M.Com in Commerce at Karachi University from 1982-1985.
