Joe Brotherton

Joe Brotherton, PE, has extensive experience in engineering management and product development, currently serving as the Functional Lead for Truck Systems at Hyster-Yale Group since July 2010. In this role, Joe oversees the tactical execution of product development for 1-9 ton programs, focusing on front-end equipment, operator stations, hydraulics, and chassis engineering. Notable achievements include receiving the UKMHA’s Archie Award for Excellence in Ergonomics. Previously, Joe held roles as VP of Engineering at KIC Holdings, where all engineering activities were led, and as a Design Engineer at Consolidated Metco, where innovative work resulted in multiple patents and significant sales milestones. Joe holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution.
