Mark Shirley

Mark Shirley has over 25 years of experience in the automotive engineering field, currently serving as the Manager of Battery Performance Development at Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. since September 2005. Previous roles include positions as a Senior Propulsion Engineer and Senior Design Engineer, focusing on engine design and testing. Prior to Hyundai, Mark held the position of Lead Engineer at Eaton Automotive, contributing to diesel EGR development and testing. Mark's career also includes roles as Lead Design Engineer at Ford Power Products, product assurance and engineering positions at General Motors Powertrain and FASCO DC Motors, and a quality engineer role at Delco Electronics. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University, with additional studies in Electrical Engineering.
