Joe Gilkerson

Joe Gilkerson is an experienced professional in product management and engineering, currently serving as Senior Group Manager for Eco Strategy and Advanced Product Planning at Hyundai Motor America since May 2021. In this role, Joe focuses on business opportunities for battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and enhances partnerships to elevate both the Hyundai and Genesis brands. Previously, Joe held senior management roles at American Honda Motor Company, including managing the performance of SUV product lines and overseeing powersport products throughout their lifecycle. Joe has extensive experience in new model planning and engineering, having worked with Honda of South Carolina Manufacturing and Honda Engineering North America. Joe's career began at Lockheed Martin as a Human Factors Design Analyst. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Factors Engineering from Wright State University.
