Lama Shaer

Lama Shaer is an experienced data scientist currently serving as an Assistant Manager at Hyundai Motor America since June 2022. Previously, Lama contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant at the American University of Beirut from January 2016 to November 2021, where a proposed an ordered feature selection methodology for enhanced statistical analysis in memory design and applied machine learning techniques for medical diagnostics as part of the Scholars in Health Research Program. Additional experience includes an internship at BMW Group focusing on machine learning and data analytics for customer engagement and a role as a Systems Engineer at Ubilite concentrating on low-power communication and signal processing applications. Lama holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, alongside a Master's and Bachelor's degree from the American University of Beirut, and is currently pursuing a certificate in the Scholars in Health Research Program.
