Dr.-Ing. Eduard Kessler

Dr.-Ing. Eduard Kessler is an experienced manager and engineer specializing in commercial vehicle development, currently serving as the Manager of Total Vehicle Evaluation at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH since August 2021. Kessler's expertise includes hydrogen fuel cell and battery-powered vehicle development, project leadership with development service providers, and optimization of hydrogen storage and refueling systems. Prior roles include R&D Project Manager and Engineer for Li-Ion batteries at Mercedes-Benz AG, where Kessler coordinated teams for battery fault resolution and contributed to various technical projects. Kessler's early career involved innovative research on hydrogen pressure vessels at NuCellSys GmbH and internships with Airbus Defence and Space. Kessler holds a Dr.-Ing. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart and multiple degrees in engineering from Technische Universität Darmstadt and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
