Anja Braune is a Full Professor for Quantitative Molecular Imaging at Technische Universität Dresden and serves as the Head of the Department of Positron-Emission-Tomography at the Institute of Radiopharmaceutical Cancer Research, Helmholtz-Center Dresden-Rossendorf. Previously, Anja worked as a Research Associate in the Pulmonary Imaging and Bioengineering Laboratory at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2009 to 2011, and held positions at University Hospital Carl Gustav Carus at TU Dresden from 2011 to 2024. Anja earned a Master of Science in Feinwerk- und Mikrotechnik, a Dr. rer. medic. in Biomedical/Medical Engineering, and completed a Habilitation in Experimentelle Nuklearmedizin at Technische Universität Dresden.
