Oliver Knodel

Head Of Group Data Management And HPC at HZDR

Oliver Knodel is an experienced professional in data management and high-performance computing, currently serving as the Head of Group Data Management and HPC at Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) since October 2018. Prior to this role, Oliver was a Visiting Scientist at Fermilab, contributing to the Mu2e Collaboration for a brief period in 2019. Oliver's earlier experience includes a research assistant position at Technische Universität Dresden, where research focused on reconfigurable hardware, cloud computing, and multicore processor simulations from July 2011 to September 2018, as well as a hardware developer role at PLS Programmierbare Logik & Systeme GmbH in 2011-2012. Oliver holds a Dr.-Ing. in Computer Science and a Diplom (Dipl.-Inf.) in Computer Science, both from Technische Universität Dresden, with educational pursuits spanning from 2004 to 2018.
