Shawn Bush

President, CEO & Co-Founder at I-CON

Shawn Bush has always had a mind for engineering and innovation. He earned engineering degrees in both robotics and mechanical engineering in 1990 before moving from his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Central Florida in 1991.

In Florida, he co-founded I-CON Systems, Inc. in 1994, which has grown to be the leader in electronic plumbing control systems in the correctional industry. Since then, he has used his experience in designing and manufacturing electronic control systems for the correctional and commercial industry to author over 80 US and foreign patents (both issued and pending). He has also been published both nationally and internationally in numerous trade and business publications.

Since graduating college in 1990, he has attended the Executive Education programs at both the London Business School and the Harvard Business School. He also holds multiple State Plumbing Contractor’s licenses. Additionally, he is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Plumbing Engineers, and UCF Grow Florida CEO Roundtable. He is a board member for the Young Presidents Organization and a gubernatorial appointed board member for the Prison Rehabilitative Industries and Diversified Enterprises, Inc (PRIDE).
