Jonathan Thompson has over a decade of experience in research and teaching roles, starting from their undergraduate education. Jonathan was a Research Education for Undergraduates Fellow at Coe College, where they worked on a research project for a summer. At Xavier University, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher and later as a Teacher Lab Assistant. At the University of Cincinnati, Jonathan was a PhD Student Researcher, where they worked on organic thin film fluorescence and various waveguides for photonic and optoelectronic devices. In addition, they worked as a Teacher Assistant for physics labs and small study group recitations. Most recently, they joined Infinity Labs as a Simulation Scientist in October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Scientist III at Azimuth Corporation from December 2018 to September 2021.
Jonathan Thompson received a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Xavier University in 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they pursued a Master of Science in Physics at the University of Cincinnati, and then completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Physics at the same university in 2018.
