Magdalena Papaioannou

Magdalena Papaioannou is an accomplished photographer and associate photo editor currently working at Washingtonian Magazine since May 2023. With extensive experience in diverse photography roles, Magdalena owns Magdalena Photography, specializing in lifestyle, product, and portrait photography while offering social media marketing services. As house photographer for both the 9:30 Club and I.M.P. since November 2016, Magdalena captures high-quality images of live performances to enhance branding and social media presence. Previous roles include photography positions at Compass and Shutterstock Custom, where Magdalena focused on real estate and advertising photography for notable brands. A graduate of Drexel University with a Bachelor of Science in Photography and double minors in Art History and The Fine Arts, Magdalena’s career reflects a strong passion for visual storytelling and brand development across various platforms.
