Rafael de Ameller

Rafael de Ameller is an accomplished professional in environmental visualization and remote sensing, currently serving as the NOAA Environmental Visualization Laboratory Lead at I. M. Systems Group Inc. since February 2018. With a diverse background, Rafael previously held the position of Chief Technology Officer at StormCenter Communications, where significant initiatives and over a million dollars in R&D funding were secured through NASA and NOAA SBIR contracts for emerging cloud-based GIS technologies. Earlier experiences include co-founding STARSS, serving as a Technical Sales and Marketing Specialist at SMARTech Inc., and managing the Earth observation satellite receiving station at INFOCARTO S.A. in Madrid. Rafael holds a Master of Science degree in Geology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, completed between 1989 and 1995.
