Amy J. Starmer is a general pediatrician with extensive experience leading initiatives to improve patient safety and healthcare quality. Currently, She serve as the Associate Medical Director of Quality Improvement and the Director of Primary Care Quality Improvement for the Department of Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH). Her leadership of quality improvement initiatives have resulted in measured performance that far exceeds nationally benchmarked targets for numerous areas of focus including immunization delivery, well child visit completion, and adherence to standardized clinical guidelines across a variety of medical conditions. For the last four years, She has overseen the development and implementation of clinical guidelines at BCH, currently serving as Medical Director of the BCH Clinical Pathways Program which oversees more than 100 clinical guidelines across the entire institution.
