Before entering the IT industry, Keith served in the U.S. Army from 2003 to 2011, where they held four roles: Automations Team Chief, Automations Senior Technician, Help Desk Supervisor, and Help Desk Technician. In these roles, they were responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for three deployed and garrison tactical and strategic local area networks, implemented technical and logistical automation support, supervised and operated the Battalion help desk, assisted in the supervision of the Battalion's automation help desk for a classified and unclassified network, and ensured users were in compliance with all Information Assurance training and certifications required for access and operation on Department of Defense networks.

Keith M. attended the Basic Installers Course (US Army NETCOM) in 2003, where they studied Fiber Optics, Network and electrical cable/raceway installer. In 2005, they attended the U.S. Army NCO Academy and studied Military and Strategic Leadership. In 2009, Keith M. obtained three certifications from CompTIA: Applications Plus, Network Plus, and Security Plus.
