Sanjay Jain

Sanjay Jain has extensive experience in software architecture and engineering, with a focus on identity and access management, blockchain, and cloud platforms.

Starting their career at Oracle in 1996, they served as a technical lead for LDAP Directory Services before joining Openwave Systems Inc. in 1998. At Openwave, they played a key role in building and shipping multiple versions of a large-scale LDAP-based distributed directory service for communication service providers.

In 2007, Sanjay joined Microsoft as a Senior Technical Lead, where they designed and implemented the recycle bin feature in Active Directory for Win7 server. Sanjay also worked on Active Directory as a multi-master directory product.

After their time at Microsoft, Sanjay joined Yahoo! as a Principal Engineer and Architect, specializing in social aspects. Sanjay then moved on to VMware in 2010, where they served as a Staff Engineer and Architect for Identity & Access Management. Sanjay played a significant role in designing and implementing an LDAP-based multi-master distributed directory service.

In 2016, Sanjay joined VoiceBox Technologies as a Senior Architect for Cloud Platform. Sanjay designed and developed a multi-tenanted cloud platform for hosting conversational Natural Language Understanding applications.

In 2018, Sanjay joined Trust Science as a Principal Architect and Advisor, focusing on self-sovereign identity and blockchain. Sanjay defined and designed a platform called Troo.io that facilitates secure and enhanced transactions between service providers and consumers.

Most recently, Sanjay has been serving as the CTO and Chief Architect at i2Chain, Inc. since 2019. Sanjay has played a critical role in developing a platform that combines cryptography, access rights, and immutable tracing to enable secure information sharing and enhance compliance.

Throughout their career, Sanjay has demonstrated a deep understanding of emerging technologies and has consistently contributed to the development of innovative and secure software solutions.

Sanjay Jain has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Sanjay also holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
