Joe Nordman has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Their most recent position was as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at i3 Product Development, starting in February 2020.
Prior to that, Joe had a long and extensive tenure at VideoPropulsion Interactive Television. Joe held multiple roles at the company, including Principal Engineer and CTO from November 2015 to February 2020, and Principal Engineer and VP of R&D from November 1992 to November 2015. During their time there, Joe was involved in various aspects of software and hardware engineering, product development, technical leadership and management, strategic planning, and worked extensively with embedded systems and digital video technologies.
Before joining VideoPropulsion Interactive Television, Joe served as the Chief Engineer at Genroco, Inc. from June 1987 to November 1992. Their responsibilities included developing microprocessor firmware, designing and testing software for various products, and designing peripherals using ASSPs and MegaPALs.
Joe's early career included a role as a Project Engineer at General Robotics Corporation from February 1985 to June 1987. In this position, they implemented I/O peripheral device drivers, developed test software for products, and designed storage and memory boards for PDP-11 computers.
Joe began their career as a Research Laboratory Technician at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they worked from September 1979 to January 1985.
Joe Nordman attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 1980 to 1985, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
