Curtis Turner

VP Finance and Corporate Controller at i-80 Gold

Curtis Turner has over 20 years of experience in the finance and corporate development industries. Curtis began their career in 2000 as Corporate Controller for Meridian Gold, where they were responsible for corporate wide accounting, internal and external reporting, budgeting, and general administration. Curtis then assumed the role of South American Region Controller, Chile, where they had oversight of accounting, cost controls and budgeting for two mine sites and one regional office. Curtis also assisted in a process to optimize organization structure and tax reductions. In 2007, Turner moved to Yamana Gold Inc. as Director of Finance, where they were responsible for accounting and finance function of the US, Mexico and Chilean operations, as well as process improvement initiatives company wide. In 2008, they took on the role of Chief Financial Officer at Cyanco, where they were responsible for financial and accounting operations for a multi-national sodium cyanide manufacturer. In 2017, Turner founded 650 Consulting LLC and also took on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Candelaria Mining. Curtis then moved to Rawhide Mining LLC in 2019, where they assumed the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer. In 2020, they became a Director at Sonoro Gold Corp. and in 2021, they were appointed Director of Operations at Connor Group. Most recently, in 2022, Turner became VP Finance and Corporate Controller at i-80 Gold Corp.

Curtis Turner obtained their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Accounting and Finance from Utah State University, followed by a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting from the same university. Curtis completed their high school education at Delta High.
