Prof. Dr. Karunakar A Kotegar

Prof. Dr. Karunakar A Kotegar currently serves as the Director of International Collaborations at Manipal Academy of Higher Education since August 2022 and has been the President of IAESTE India since July 2013. With extensive experience in academia, Prof. Kotegar has held positions as a Professor at Manipal Institute of Technology since September 2000, where focus areas include Image Processing and Multimedia Communications. Additional roles include serving as a Syndicate Member at Mangalore University from July 2020 to June 2023 and as Head of the Department of the Department of Data Science and Computer Applications at Manipal Institute of Technology from January 2018 to August 2022. Prof. Kotegar also contributed as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Athlone Institute of Technology, Ireland, and has held various administrative and leadership roles, including Deputy Director of International Collaborations at Manipal Academy of Higher Education. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer and Information Sciences from Manipal University and a Master's degree in Computer Application from Karnatak University.
