Group Chief Risk Officer at IAG Limited

Peter Taylor has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with a focus on risk management. Peter is currently the Group Chief Risk Officer at IAG, and was previously the General Manager of Enterprise Risk at Westpac Group. Peter has also held the position of Executive General Manager Operational Risk and CRO Support Units at Commonwealth Bank.

In their role as Group Chief Risk Officer, Peter is responsible for overseeing the risk management function across all of IAG’s businesses. This includes identifying, assessing and managing risks that could potentially impact IAG’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives.

Prior to joining IAG, Peter spent 12 years at Commonwealth Bank in various senior risk management roles, including Head of Risk & Compliance and Executive General Manager Operational Risk and CRO Support Units. In these roles, they were responsible for designing, implementing and managing the operational risk framework across the CBA Group.

Peter has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and is a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).

Peter Taylor was educated at St Georges College, Harare, Zimbabwe before moving to Australia to study for a B. Commerce at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. Peter later obtained a Graduate Diploma in Company Direction from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
