Imran Samad

Imran Samad currently serves as the Group Indirect Tax Lead at International Airlines Group (IAG) since December 2023, overseeing the indirect tax function and providing VAT advice to various operating companies within the group. Prior to this role, Imran held the position of Indirect Tax Manager at John Lewis Partnership from August 2021 to December 2023 and managed VAT affairs as the EMEA VAT Manager at CBRE GWS from June 2016 to July 2021. Imran's earlier experience includes roles such as VAT Manager at Tesco PLC, VAT Assistant Manager at Smith & Williamson, VAT Compliance Manager at Standard Chartered Bank, VAT Executive at Grant Thornton UK LLP, and VAT Assurance Officer at HM Revenue & Customs. Imran began a career in taxation as a Customer Service Officer at the Inland Revenue. Educational accomplishments include achieving the CTA from the Chartered Institute of Taxation, the ATT from the Association of Taxation Technicians, and a BA (Hons) in Economics from London Metropolitan University.
