Javier Fernandez

Javier Fernandez currently serves as the Group M&A and Corporate Development Manager at International Airlines Group (IAG), responsible for leading M&A strategy and corporate development initiatives since July 2019. Previously, Javier held the positions of Group Strategy Manager and Group Strategy Analyst at IAG, focusing on corporate strategy, business transformation, and M&A processes while managing teams of analysts. Prior to IAG, Javier worked as an Aviation Consulting Analyst at ICF, contributing to airport transaction due diligence and strategic planning. Javier's early experience includes an engineering internship at E-USOC, where research in space vehicles and astrodynamics was conducted. Javier holds a Master of Science in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University and two master's degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the same institution.
