Guillaume S. is a Senior Policy Adviser at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors since March 2023. Previously, Guillaume served as a Policy Expert in International Banking and Insurance Supervisor at the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution from February 2017 to March 2023, where responsibilities included senior supervision of a prominent insurer with a significant international presence. Additional experience includes a part-time Teaching Assistant role at Université Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas from October 2020 to December 2022, and service as an Army reservist in the Armée de Terre between August 2018 and November 2020. Earlier roles involved training at the Conseil Économique, Social et Environnemental as an Administrative Officer and internships at Bordeaux Métropole and the French Embassy in Algeria. Guillaume holds a degree from Sciences Po Bordeaux and has studied at the University of California, Berkeley.

The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) is the global standard-setting body responsible for developing and assisting in the implementation of principles, standards and guidance, as well as supporting materials for the supervision of the insurance sector. The IAIS operates with the support of a secretariat under the direction of a Secretary General and is hosted by the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland.
