Melanie Clowes-Haug

Melanie Clowes-Haug currently serves as a Senior Policy Advisor for Communications at the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) since April 2020, overseeing communications strategy and execution for this global standard setter in insurance supervision. Prior to this role, Melanie held various senior positions in communications at Roche from March 2013 to March 2020, including Senior Communications Manager and Team Lead for Executive Communications. Melanie's extensive experience also includes leadership roles at Novartis Pharmaceuticals AG, where responsibilities spanned Global Internal Communications, Public Relations, and IT communications from August 2000 to October 2012. Earlier freelance work as a Marketing and Communications Consultant (1998-2000) focused on the tourism and hospitality sectors. Melanie holds a BA from The University of British Columbia, along with executive education in Business Finance and Negotiation Skills from Harvard Business School, as well as a Diploma of Technology in International Trade and Marketing from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
