Pete Smyth

Pete Smyth has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and business development sectors. Pete started their career in 1995 as a Marketing Manager and Channel Sales at Absolute Software. From 1998 to 2001, Pete served as the VP of Business Development & Client Services at Columbus Group Communications Inc, where they played a key role in growing the client base and team. In 2001, they joined TELUS Web Solutions as the Team Lead for Enterprise Portal Development, responsible for delivering internet portal solutions to national clients. Pete then founded iamota in 2004, where they currently serve as the CEO. iamota is a leading Shopify Plus Design and Development Agency, specializing in helping ecommerce merchants migrate and enhance their existing Shopify Plus experiences. Additionally, Pete is also a member of the Operators Guild since 2020.

Pete Smyth completed their Bachelor's at BCIT School of Business + Media in 1995, where they received a Diploma in Marketing Management, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development. Later, in 2004, they obtained their Master's degree in Digital Technologies Management from Royal Roads University.
