David Bauer

David Bauer is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Holding Ground Decision Intelligence LLC, which specializes in strategic technology assessment and diligence services for investment firms and corporate leadership. Additionally, David serves on the Board of Directors for Guidewire Software and chairs the Cybersecurity Advisory Board at Security Leadership Capital, providing guidance to portfolio companies. As a faculty member at IANS and an advisor for various companies—including Digital Asset, Byos, and DeepFactor—David draws on extensive experience in cybersecurity and technology advisory roles. Previously, David was a Managing Partner at Sand Hill East, where David advised early-stage companies, and held a position as Chief Security, Privacy, and Compliance Officer at The Macaluso Group, LLC. David holds a BA and MS in Computer Science from Rutgers University and an AAS in Data Processing from Thames Valley State Technical College.
