Michael Newborn, CISSP, CCISO, serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Navy Federal Credit Union since August 2019. In addition, Michael advises Blu Ventures, Expel, George Mason University - College of Engineering and Computing, Longbow, IANS, and Accenture as an Advisory Board Member. Michael founded Newborn Associates, LLC, and held the position of CISO for McKinsey Digital Labs while also mentoring security startup founders at MACH37 Cyber Accelerator. Michael's educational background includes a degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia and completion of the FBI CISO Academy in 2022.
