Julie de Jong

Julie de Jong has extensive experience in accreditation assessment and environmental management. Since September 2018, Julie has served as an Accreditation Assessor at IANZ, assessing medical testing laboratories and inspection bodies across New Zealand. Prior to this role, Julie was a Principal Consultant at SKYSIDE from May 2015 to July 2018, managing projects for South Africa’s first accredited emissions testing company, and overseeing the development of ISO 17025 accredited quality systems. Julie also held the position of Business Development Support Manager at RE- Ethical Environmental Re-Engineering from July 2012 to April 2015, focusing on the expansion of waste management services. Earlier in Julie's career, at the SA Sugarcane Research Institute from 1997 to 2012, responsibilities included resource management and research contributions in plant molecular biology. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science and an Honours degree in Microbiology from Rhodes University and a Master of Science in Plant Molecular Biology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
