Business Intelligence Analyst at IAT Insurance Group

Deanna Jones has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Deanna has worked as a Business Intelligence Analyst at IAT Insurance Group, where they developed Power BI reports and dashboards and trained users in accessing self-service reporting tools. Deanna also utilized SQL, Power BI, Excel, COGNOS, and MS Access for report analysis and reporting.

Deanna has also volunteered in community service, where they served as a Data Architect, Carpenter, and Energy Healer.

At the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County, Deanna worked as a Technology & Business Process Consultant. Deanna evaluated gift processing management systems and implemented technology to streamline processes and reduce processing time.

During their time at Lenovo, Deanna held two roles. As a Data Project Manager, they supported a legacy database and played an essential role in a database creation, test, and deployment project. As a Project Manager on the Web Configurator team, they reviewed engineering rules and tested configurations for successful web launch.

Prior to Lenovo, Deanna worked at IBM as a Data Lead for Configurable Offerings. Deanna ensured timely and accurate web publishing of product announcements and improved processes for their team and other teams.

Deanna also served in the U.S. Army as a Pharmacy Specialist and worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs as an Outpatient Pharmacy Services staff member.

In addition, Deanna worked as a Park Resource Aide at the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, where they managed various tasks related to media, information, public correspondence, and project management.

Lastly, Deanna worked as a Laboratory Technician at Pioneer (formerly Dupont Feed & Grains), where they prepared corn seed samples for testing and maintained test results in a database.

Deanna Jones has a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Biology from Drake University. Deanna also underwent training as a Medical/Pharmacy Specialist at the U.S. Army Medical Department Center & School. In addition to their formal education, Deanna has obtained certifications in various fields, including becoming a Trinity Energy Progression Teacher in 2013, Lean 6 Sigma Yellow Belt in 2011, Arcing Radial Light Teacher in 2009, and Usuai Reki I & II Practitioner in 2007.
