Tim Becker

Tim Becker, PhD, is a Senior Technical Consultant and Team Lead at IAV since December 2019, having previously served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard from March 2017 to November 2019. Prior experience includes a role as Team Lead at Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, where responsibilities involved developing novel hardware and software solutions for the visualization and detection of in vitro cultured cells within industry collaborations, from March 2013 to January 2017. Tim Becker completed a PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Image Analysis at the Graduate School for Computing in Medicine and Life Sciences, Universität zu Lübeck, from 2009 to 2013, and holds an MSc and BSc in Computational Life Sciences from the same institution.
