Harold Shockley Jr.

President & CEO, International Bank of Commerce, Corpus Christi at IBC Bank

Through his devotion to philanthropic activities and his dedicated work and well-rounded expertise in the banking business - namely commercial lending - Harold Shockley Jr. has made a positive contribution to the Coastal Bend community.

Shockley, a Corpus Christi native and long-time resident, has most recently served as bank president for IBC Bank - Corpus Christi and was named CEO in August 2008. He began his banking career in 1981 serving as a credit analyst in the commercial credit department of Corpus Christi National Bank, and in 1984 embarked on his lending career at The Bank of Corpus Christi. When IBC Bank purchased The Bank of Corpus Christi in 1995, Shockley remained with the bank as the executive vice president. Shockley's knowledge and expertise contribute to the overall growth and success of the market's nine area branches, which include locations in Sinton, Rockport, Portland and Aransas Pass.

In keeping with the IBC philosophy of "We Do More," Shockley also dedicates his time and efforts to numerous community organizations in the Coastal Bend. He currently serves as Board Chairman for the Corpus Christi Police Foundation and is also the Chairman of the Downtown Management District. He has served on numerous boards including the March of Dimes, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islander Athletic Foundation and is past president and a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club.

Shockley received his Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and is a graduate of The Banking School of the South at Louisiana State University.
