Stephen Hopkins

Stephen Hopkins serves as the Head of Media at Ibec, overseeing the organization's media engagement strategy and press office since May 2023. In parallel, Stephen is a part-time Lecturer in Strategic Communications at the University of Galway, contributing to the MA in Global Media and Communications. Previously, as Associate Director at 150BOND from October 2021 to May 2023, Stephen provided media and corporate affairs advice to international tech firms. Additionally, Stephen held the position of Communications Manager at the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland from December 2014 to November 2021, where responsibilities included managing the communications strategy, press engagement, and stakeholder relations. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Politics from Queen's University Belfast, a Diploma in Public Relations from the European Institute of Communications, and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations and Affairs from Dublin City University.
