Ed McDonald

Ed McDonald is an experienced professional in risk management and regulation within the energy sector. Since October 2019, Ed has served as the Head of Risk Models and Prospective and as Responsable Boost for Growth - Renewables at Iberdrola. Prior to this, Ed held multiple roles at Iberdrola Renovables, including Risk Manager and positions focused on regulation and prospective from November 2011 to September 2019. Ed's career also includes significant experience as Credit Risk Manager at Iberdrola from June 2009 to November 2011 and at Scottish Power from December 2001 to May 2009, alongside early roles as a Credit Risk Analyst and Quantitative Analyst. Ed's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics, both obtained from the University of Strathclyde.
