Elena Vilches Rodriguez

Elena Vilches Rodriguez has a diverse work experience in the energy sector, primarily with Iberdrola and Iberdrola Engineering and Construction. Elena started their career as a Mechanical Design Engineer in 2008 and later served as a Mechanical Project Engineer, responsible for site characterization and front-end engineering design for the Moorside Nuclear New Build project. In 2014, Elena became a Senior Project Engineer, leading a multi-disciplinary team in various engineering projects, including the design and commissioning of systems for nuclear power plants. In 2017, they joined Iberdrola as a Senior Project Manager before being promoted to Senior Procurement Manager. Currently, Elena holds the position of Head of Procurement of Industrial Decarbonization and O&M services, demonstrating their expertise and leadership in the field.

Elena Vilches Rodriguez earned their Industrial Engineer Master Degree from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid from 2002 to 2009. Elena'sfield of study focused on Energy and Power Plant Technologies.
