Javier Lomas Mendaza

Javier Lomas Mendaza is an accomplished professional in the energy sector with a robust background in operational trading and project management. Currently serving as the Operational Trading Supervisor at Iberdrola since October 2019, Javier oversees the Operational Desk and strategically manages power generation assets and portfolios. In addition, Javier has held roles in project management for digital solutions, leading significant initiatives such as the implementation of ETRM systems and artificial intelligence programs. Prior experience includes positions at Deloitte as a Senior Energy Consultant, where Javier designed ETRM systems and gained extensive knowledge of the trading value chain, and roles at Cepsa focusing on natural gas operations and logistics. Javier holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha.
