Dick van Driel

Dick van Driel has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as the CEO of IBIS Power, an award-winning company specializing in renewable energy solutions. Prior to this, they held senior positions at Nieuwe Zomer BV and Shurman, where they served as a C-Level Executive and an Associate Director respectively. Dick also co-founded Pholtaire BV and Hack-a-Business BV, focusing on innovative technologies and business development. Additionally, Dick has served as a business mentor for Avonic, Pacmed, Respyre, and NewCompliance, providing guidance and support to these organizations. Their previous experience includes working as the Head of Business Development a.i. for The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit organization dedicated to removing plastic from the oceans.

Dick van Driel's education history includes studying at several institutions at different periods of time. In 1975 to 1981, they attended St-Janslyceum and completed their Gymnasium B. Following that, they pursued their studies at Utrecht University from 1981 to 1985, specializing in Nederlands Recht. After taking a break, they enrolled at Hogeschool der Kunsten Den Haag from 1988 to 1992, where they focused on photography. Later, in 2019 to 2020, they participated in the Commissarissen en Toezichthouders Programma at TIAS School for Business and Society.
