Chee-Kong Lee

Chee-Kong Lee is a Quantum Scientist at IBM, specializing in quantum computing for industry applications with a focus on quantum chemistry and quantum machine learning since August 2022. Previously, Chee-Kong served as a Senior Researcher at Tencent America, where work centered on quantum computing and machine learning for chemistry and physics, and held the position of Researcher at the Centre for Quantum Technologies from 2010 to 2014, focusing on quantum computation and quantum information. Experience includes a Machine Learning Internship at Monsanto Company, a Research Assistant role at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology applying quantum physics and machine learning to opto-electronic semiconductors, and a Research Internship at Samsung Electronics, which emphasized machine learning for battery materials design. Chee-Kong holds a PhD in Theoretical Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from the National University of Singapore.
