Daniel Schmidt

Daniel Schmidt has extensive experience in engineering and research, having served in various roles at notable companies and institutions. At GlobalFoundries from May 2016 to April 2018, Daniel worked as a Principal Engineer and Member of the Technical Staff in TD Research. Previous experience includes a Diploma Thesis at Xaar and roles at IBM as an In-Line Metrology Manager and Senior Engineer in August 2023. Daniel has also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at Linköping University and held a Senior Research Fellow position at the National University of Singapore from January 2014 to May 2016. Daniel's academic background includes a Diplom Ingenieur (FH) from Fachhochschule Kaiserslautern and a PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Additional roles include Research Associate and Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Research Internship at the Singapore Synchrotron Light Source.
