Maeda Hanafi is currently a Research Scientist at IBM, where they build human-in-the-loop solutions. They earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Southern Connecticut State University in 2012, receiving the Academic Excellency Award. Maeda completed a Ph.D. in Computer Science at New York University in 2020, focusing on human-in-the-loop tools for AI, data analytics, and information extraction. They spent much of their graduate study at NYU Abu Dhabi as a recipient of the Ph.D. Global Fellowship Award and have held roles at institutions including Lockheed Martin and Dsluxury Cars.
