Will Hawkins

Will Hawkins is a seasoned technical manager at IBM, where they lead high-performing teams focused on Generative AI, Large Language Models, and governance tooling to foster innovation. They previously served as a Technology Commercialization Fellow at the University of Southern Indiana, guiding multidisciplinary teams in transforming DoD intellectual property into novel products. Will also held roles in academia as an Assistant Professor of Exercise Science and Biology, where their research includes the development of wearable technology for health metrics and genetic factors influencing exercise capacity. Their extensive background includes experiences as a Senior Data Scientist and a Graduate Research Assistant, emphasizing a strong foundation in both artificial intelligence and exercise physiology. Will holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kansas and multiple degrees in Exercise Science from Wichita State University.
