Raphael Braga

Raphael Braga serves as the Corporate Innovation Manager at Finep since September 2017, overseeing investments in the venture capital industry and entrepreneurship programs, managing 28 VC funds with over US$ 1 billion in committed capital and 180 invested companies. In addition to this role, Raphael is also a Professor of Finance at FGV and Ibmec, focusing on investments and valuation in MBA courses, and previously lectured at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and UFRRJ. Raphael's career includes previous positions at Finep, where responsibilities included structuring direct investment operations and coaching companies for the venture capital sector, as well as an investment analyst role at Towers Watson. Academic qualifications include a PhD and Master's degree in Finance from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, along with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidade Federal Fluminense.
