William Benton, MSEE, PMP, S has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. William started their career at ITT Systems/Federal Services Corp in 1982 as a Sr. Software Engineer and worked there until 1995. From 1995 to 1997, they served as a Systems Engineer at St. Jude Medical.

In 1997, Benton joined Titan Corporation/Datron Advanced Technologies as a Project Engineer, where they led system development, integration, and test teams for satellite ground stations. William managed the operational deployment of commercial Satellite Ground Receiving Stations and Data Processing Systems. During their time there, Benton also developed software applications and mathematical algorithms for satellite orbit and attitude controls.

From 2003 to 2012, Benton worked at Harris Corporation in various roles, including Sr. Systems Engineer and Interfaces and Operations Support Engineer. William provided systems engineering support for multiple projects, including nationwide library assets and imagery search capability for DOD systems and GPS-LADO Satellite Telemetry Command & Control Ground System SDLC development & testing.

In 2012, Benton joined Booz Allen Hamilton as a Lead Associate and worked there until 2013. William then moved to Syneren Technologies Corporation, where they served as a Program Manager from 2013 to 2015. In this role, Benton managed programs and projects for the organization.

Most recently, Benton has been working at Imagine Believe Realize, LLC as a Sr. Systems Architect since 2015. William is a member of the development team at the U.S. Census Bureau for the GUPS project.

Throughout their career, Benton has demonstrated their expertise in systems architecture, program management, and systems engineering. William holds an MSEE and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and Systems Engineer (S).

William Benton, MSEE, PMP, S, earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) with a specialization in Image Processing from the University of Southern California. William attended the university from 1975 to 1980. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Astronomy from the same institution, studying there from 1970 to 1974. William Benton completed their high school education at Highland High School between 1967 and 1970. Additionally, they hold certifications in CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA, which they obtained in December 2014, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute, which they acquired in March 2013.
