Markus Wilhelmsson

Markus Wilhelmsson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Markus started their career in 1988 at Mondelēz International as a Brand Manager, where they managed Nordic brands and oversaw brand licensing and field sales. Markus then worked as a Marketing Manager at Kinnevik AB's TV3, followed by a role as a Marketing Manager at Dagens Nyheter. In 2000, they joined Telia Sverige as a Market & Offering Director before moving on to become the Managing Director at Sony Pictures Entertainment, where they served as the Nordic CEO and was responsible for sales, marketing, finance, and operations in multiple countries. Markus later joined Universal Pictures as the Commercial Director, overseeing Sales and Marketing in the Nordic region. In 2011, they joined ICA Gruppen, initially serving as the Subsidiary Managing Director of Market24 AB before taking on the role of Head of Sales for ICA e-commerce. Markus also served as the Business Lead for ICA meal solutions, leading a team in sales, product development, meal planning, and support for ICA retailers' e-commerce portfolio. Recently, they held the position of Acting Manager Sales & Growth at ICA Gruppen. Throughout their career, Markus Wilhelmsson has consistently demonstrated their ability to drive business growth and support retailers in maximizing their online business.

Markus Wilhelmsson has a diverse education history. Markus obtained a Diploma in Board Education from Styrelseinstitutet Skandinavien AB in 2018, specializing in corporate governance. In 2016, they completed the Retail Management program at ICA Skolan. Earlier in their career, they attended Essential Leadership GE NBC Universal in 2009 and Telia Executive Management Program in 2001-2002. Markus also pursued the Bonnier Förläggarlinje program in 1997-1998. Markus'sacademic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Lund University, which they earned from 1984 to 1988. Prior to that, Markus participated in an exchange scholarship program at Franklin High School in 1981-1982, where they graduated.
