Sophya L. Pierre

Sophya Pierre is a consultant at ICA with over eight years of experience in the insurance and risk management industry.

Prior to joining ICA, Sophya developed her love of insurance while working as a property claim adjuster at State Farm, handling catastrophic losses for more than five years. Sophya was then employed as a risk advisor at Marsh in Atlanta, GA, where she continued to develop her business acumen as a risk manager for a diverse array of clients throughout the Southeast. Sophya joined ICA in 2019, and in her consulting practice, she enjoys challenging herself and seeking creative solutions so that her Clients can minimize risk and maximize business opportunities. Her portfolio of Clients includes chemical manufacturing and distribution, private equity, and corporate real estate.

Sophya graduated from Mercer University in Macon, GA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. In 2016, she earned her Master of Business Administration degree in Insurance Management from Brenau University. In three years, Sophya completed over ten designations, including the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter degree and the Associate in Risk Management awarded by the Institute's Risk and Insurance Knowledge Group, among others.

Sophya is fluent in English and Creole. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her large family and her “small” dog, Titan.
