Sunil Manoharan is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in sports broadcasting and media rights management. Currently serving as Vice President Media Rights at the International Cricket Council since October 2020, Sunil previously held the Director position at Star TV from 2015 to 2020, where responsibilities included managing global media rights sales for major cricket boards and leagues. Prior to that, Sunil acted as Director at Worldwide Wickets (formerly ESPN Mauritius) between 2013 and 2015, overseeing ICC media rights. Sunil's career also encompasses significant roles at ESPN STAR Sports from 2000 to 2013, where contributions included media rights sales, editorial leadership, and production of landmark cricket broadcasts. Educational credentials comprise MA degrees in Modern Indian History and Mass Communications, alongside a BA in History from prominent institutions.

The ICC is the global governing body for cricket. Representing 106 members, the ICC governs and administrates the game and is responsible for the staging of major international tournaments including the ICC Men’s World Cup and Women’s World Cup and the ICC Men’s and Women’s T20 World Cups as well as all associated qualifying events. The ICC presides over the ICC Code of Conduct which sets the professional standards of discipline for international cricket, playing conditions, bowling reviews and other ICC regulations and appoints match officials. Through the Anti-Corruption Unit it coordinates action against corruption and match fixing. The ICC Development department works with Associate Members to improve the quality of international cricket, build better cricket systems, get more people playing cricket and grow the game globally.
