Kimberly Hites has over 30 years of professional experience. Kimberly began their career in 1987 as a Teacher and K-12 Instructional Supervisor with the Pike County Board of Education. In 1990, they joined IBM as an Education Instruction Specialist. In 1986, they were an Assistant Designer with A Slight Indulgence. From 2002 to 2015, they were a K-12 Education Consultant and Software Sales & Training with ICC Global Hosting. Kimberly also worked as an Interior Space Designer and Real Estate Staging Specialist with IADA - Interior Arrangement and Design Association from 2002 to 2012. From 2012 to 2015, they were the owner of Kimberly Hites French Country Antiques, specializing in French Country antiques, decor, and lifestyle.

Kimberly Hites began their educational journey at Georgetown College, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Interior Design between 1983 and 1985. Kimberly then attended Morehead State University from 1985 to 1986, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design. Afterward, Hites attended Pikeville College from 1986 to 1987, where they earned K-8 Teaching Certification. Finally, they attended Morehead State University from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a Master's degree in Pre-School and Elementary Education.
