Ahmad Merhi

Ahmad Merhi, CFA, is an experienced investment professional currently serving as the Investment Portfolio Manager for Funds (Private Markets) at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) since August 2024, overseeing a USD 1 billion portfolio and leading investment strategy development. Ahmad has previously held positions such as Principal of Investment Strategy at the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), where strategic asset classes were developed, and Portfolio Manager at Al Muhaidib Group, focusing on value creation. Earlier roles include Investment Analyst at Cenomi Group, where financial models and feasibility studies were conducted, and Investment Banking Associate at Aldukheil Financial Group, managing M&A and capital raising transactions. Ahmad holds a Master's degree in Finance from the American University of Beirut, a CFA Charter, and a Bachelor's degree in Business Finance from the Lebanese American University.
