J.K. is a C-suite legal advisor specializing in sovereign and non-sovereign project finance, public-private partnerships, and international administrative law. They currently serve as Lead Counsel at the Islamic Development Bank since 2013, while also being the Legal & Integrity Counsel at Whitehall Legal Consultants from 2011 to 2025. Previously, J.K. held positions as a lecturer in law and legal advisor within the Ministry of Education in Pakistan, and worked as a legal practitioner at the KPK Bar Council.
