Kip Wahlers

Kip Wahlers is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in public finance and economic development. Currently a partner at Ice Miller since July 2013, Wahlers provides counsel to state and local governments as well as the private sector, specializing in public-private partnerships, tax-exempt finance, and affordable housing, among other areas. Previous roles include serving as General Counsel for Browning & Associates and JobsOhio, where a focus on regulatory compliance and incentive processes was paramount. Wahlers also held a partnership at Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP, specializing in public finance and project finance. Earlier career experience includes an associate position at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey, with a foundation in human resources at JAC Products. Wahlers holds a JD from the University of Michigan Law School, a Master's degree in English from the University of Michigan, and an A.B. in English from The University of Georgia.
